NEW EXHIBITION PROGRAM

Kicks off with show of
Galina Kurlat's portraits

Peter Hay Halpert Fine Art is pleased to announce a new partnership with Anders Wahlstedt Fine Art that will give us the opportunity to mount two exhibitions each year in Chelsea.

Following up on the success of a similar exhibition program on the Lower East Side, we will inaugurate a new exhibition program in Chelsea with a show of Galina Kurlat's portraits in November. The gallery space is situated in Suite 636 of the Aperture Building, located at 547 West 27th Street (with a dual entrance at 548 West 28th Street).

Over the next two years we plan to show five solo exhibitions, each of which will explore the figure in photography. Born in Russia and now working and residing in NY, Galina Kurlat makes intimate, unique tintype portraits of boys and girl poised between the innocence of childhood and the knowledge and self-awareness of our adult years.

GALINA KURLAT: SHADOW PLAY will be on view from 1 November to 1 December 2018.

We will follow that exhibition with an April show of nudes by our Swedish artist, Daniel Karlsson. This will be Karlsson's first one-man exhibit.

In 2020, we will introduce new work by the English artist, Mark Karasick, who will show large-scale encaustic photographs.

His New York show with Peter Hay Halpert Fine Art will follow on the heels of his exhibition at the Finnish National Gallery in 2019.

Hours at the Peter Hay Halpert Fine Art Chelsea gallery space will be 11 am - 6 pm, Tuesday - Saturday.
