2017 Photo Benefit Auction
I’m very pleased to once again support the Baxter St / Camera Club of NY benefit photography auction. The Camera Club of NY is an invaluable resource for artists, curators and collectors. Last year, I attended the sale and was able to purchase a contemporary tintype by Galina Kurlat. I put it on my desk and looked at it for the next few months, until I felt compelled to get in touch with her to see some more work. I’ve subsequently acquired two more pieces. Galina is an artist I didn’t know about, but thanks to the auction, I was able to get to know her, and her work. This year’s auction presents more opportunities for beginning and established collectors to support a very worthy institution and get to see some terrific photography. BAXTER ST at The Camera Club of New York

The auction is available for viewing and bidding on Paddle8 from August 31st to September 14th at 8pm EST, during which bidders can place maximum bids online.
The works will be on view at Baxter St at CCNY from September 11th to 14th from 12 to 6 pm with walk-through evenings led by the curators on the 11th and 12th. The cocktail reception and silent auction will take place on September 14th from 6-8pm at Baxter St at CCNY located at 126 Baxter St. The event is free to attend.
