Identities Now: Contemporary Portrait Photography An Update on the Book We’re making significant progress on Identities Now. We recently met with our book designer, Mark Rangel, and finalized the sequencing and layout of the pictures. We’re about to complete the indexes. If you wish for any of your images to have different titles from the ones that were given with your original uploaded image, we need that information immediately. If you have updated information about how you want your name to appear, or about your website, now is the time to get it to us. If you have any questions or wish to see what information we currently have for you please email Charles at Charles@phhfineart.com. The image to the left is entitled Kevin and James, 2010 by Lea Bennett. About the Project Identities Now will explore the current state of the photographic portrait, gathering the best work from a diverse cross-section of artists from around the globe. All photos submitted were reviewed by a selection committee comprised of six top photography professionals, whose biographies, along with the list of accepted artists, can be read here. |

Tyler Udall PHH Discoveries Program Peter Hay Halpert Fine Art is pleased to announce Tyler Udall as the newest artist to participate in our Discoveries Program. Tyler Udall is a Vancouver based editor, art director and photographer. His multi-faceted career in the fashion world has made him a sought after contributor and creative director by many highly visible fashion and lifestyle publications. His latest collection of photographs was published in book form by OHWOW. “Talking about art and what motivates me as an artist seems like a gargantuan paradox… like trying to dissect a guttural reaction. The photos I take are moments in my life, documented. If I really try and break it down, I know I want my photographs to communicate flashes of visceral truth as I saw them. The camera is a filter allowing me to heighten and focus the intensity of my interactions with the people and places in my life. Photography allows me to see more clearly, often through distortion.” - Tyler Udall Click here to view the all 15 available images from Tyler. The Discoveries Program is designed to introduce work by fresh, young photographers. The program will feature a curated, select number of images that are available in small, limited editions, exclusively through our gallery. The work is intended to be affordable. As a result of our open submission policy, we view more contemporary photography than almost anyone in the field. With our expertise and track record introducing new work, we wanted to create an innovative program that gives both beginning and established collectors an opportunity to support up & coming photographers. |
