Dreams of Flying
These photographic images are my attempts to land on Neverland's shores again, where I was so many years ago, and where I sometimes long to return in order to expolre its nature and to enjoy its rules. I was always trying to think of ways to represent childhood, how to deconstruct childhood. It is a really recent understanding that kids have their own life. Who defines childhood; because it is not the kids, it is always the grown-ups. Childhood is a concept that only exists for old people. It is a child's reality. In terms of photography, kids are being told by grown-ups what to do. There are always notions of nostalgia for grown-ups taking these pictures.
